RESCHEDULED PIG OUT WEEKEND – October 9th-11th, 2020

Pig Out Festival

When: Saturday, October 10th, 2020
Time: 1-4pm
Location: Covert Farms

Celebrating its ninth year, the Pig Out festival offers a perfect way to herald the coming of the summer season in Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country. On Saturday May 2nd, held at Covert Farms, the annual vineyard pig roast, which brings together chefs from several local restaurants, including Platinum Bench Bakery, Watermark Beach Resort, Miradoro at Tinhorn Creek Vineyards and Oliver Eats.

From 1-4 pm the chefs will be showcasing their take on pork-centric Polynesian cuisines at the outdoor-tented festival, which takes place amongst the beautiful organic vineyards of Covert Farm in Oliver. Live music from Jack and Jill with dancing in the haybarn.

Every year, Pig Out celebrates a different culinary theme and this year will be no different.  A cornucopia of dishes featuring local ingredients will be offered alongside ALL of the member wineries of the Oliver Osoyoos Winery Association, pouring new releases and fan favourites.

Pig Out Ticket: $69 (plus GST & processing fee) includes entertainment and chef demonstrations, souvenir wine glass, and of course, lots of great food and wine.

Pig Out Youth Ticket: $35 (plus GST & processing fee) includes entertainment and lots of great food. These tickets are for youth 12-18; children 11 and under do not require tickets.

NEW FOR 2020 – VIP Tickets. —LIMITED ADDITIONAL RELEASE – $85 (plus GST & processing fee) includes early admission, exclusive chef culinary demonstration, entertainment, souvenir wine glass and lots of great food.

 

Guest Chef Dinner

When: Friday October 9th
Time: 6-9 pm
Location: The Sonora Room, Burrowing Owl Winery

Enjoy an evening of carefully curated cuisine prepared by chefs from across Western Canada, featuring wines from Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country and a selection of local and regional chefs. Each chef will create one course that will be paired with specially selected wines.

Join Chef Lee Humphries of the Sonora room at Burrowing Owl Winery as he welcomes Chef Quinn Staple from Yellow Door Bistro and Chef Alessandro Vianello in preparing this special meal. (more chefs may be added)

Chefs to be confirmed as details are finalized for rescheduled date.

Dinner Ticket: $119 (plus GST & processing fee), includes 5-course dinner with wine pairings from Burrowing Owl and Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country

 

Bring Home the Bacon

When: Sunday, October 11th
Time: 8:30-11:30 am
Location: Oliver Eats Ltd

Complete your Pig Out weekend with a hearty breakfast at the Oliver Eats Sunday morning market. $2 from each ticket will be donated to Oliver Search & Rescue.

Breakfast Ticket: $20 inclusive of GST, includes 3 oz sample of wine

Youth Breakfast: $15 inclusive of GST

 

2020 Pig Out Weekend Shuttle Bookings

Once again we are pleased to work with Top Cat Tours in offering shuttle transportation to and from the Pig Out to allow you get around safely and not drink and drive. Transportation should be booked directly with Top Cat using the links below. Transportation is available from $30 per person in Oliver & Osoyoos and $35 per person for Penticton & Okanagan Falls.

FAQ

What is the Pig Out?
The Pig Out is a family-friendly, outdoor event featuring our member wineries and our local chefs.

Are my tickets refundable?

As indicated at the time of purchase all event tickets are non-refundable.

Are my tickets transferable?

For Pig Out check-in is by scanned ticket, you are able to give your tickets to someone else but they must bring the digital ticket to be scanned and admitted. Tickets that cannot be scanned or are marked as duplicate scans will not be permitted.

What wineries are participating?
Only our member wineries participate and they can vary year to year. For a current list of our member wineries please click here.

What chefs/restaurants are participating?
These can vary from year to year depending on availability of the chefs.

What happens if it rains?
The Pig Out goes rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather.

Can I bring my dog?
Even though this is an outdoor event we do not allow dogs (or any other pets) on the event grounds.
